The purpose of this article is to assert the international legal compliance of the norms and decisions in the environment of the internationalization of law. Initially, discusses the reciprocal influences between the legal system and other social systems in a global governance landscape. Next, investigates the effectiveness of legal norms arising from these changes of society and international law. Forward, focuses on the traditional mechanisms of enforcement of international law and the new mechanisms used in the pursuit of effectiveness of international norms, in order to un-derstand the role of international courts, the incorporation of international norms to domestic political and legal structures and finally, the political, economic and reputational incentives as tools of legal enforcement in the context of the internalionalization of law. Thus, from the interdisciplinarity between Law and International Relations, as a research method, we seek to investigate the coercive and non-coercive elements that determine the effectiveness of this new international law.
