THE PROFILE OF THE RESTORATIVE JUSTICE FACILITATOR IN THE BRAZILIAN JUDICIAL POWER

Abstract

The article aims to present the general aspects of the Restorative Justice facilitator profile. In this way, the facilitator's profile, training and perception of their training were analyzed; and, the performance of these professionals. To achieve these objectives, data collection, interviews, and subsequent analysis of the interviews were methodologically adopted. From the data collected in this research, in summary, it was found that, in general, the facilitator in Restorative Justice of the Brazilian Judiciary is: female, white, with higher education, who works voluntarily (or not paid exclusively for this, in the case of a judicial servant), who uses the circle methodology as her main practice, does not have specific training to deal with complex cases, and she spends her own resources to finance her ongoing training, as well as to purchase materials that she uses for the execution of the practice.
