Smart city governance in Mexico: reflections from a case study

Atualmente, os centros urbanos de todo o mundo estão enfrentando um conjunto imprevisto de desafios. Elas são derivadas de uma demanda crescente por serviços básicos, que incluem um gerenciamento mais eficiente dos recursos financeiros e técnicos. Nesse sentido, uma área que atualmente busca novas estratégias para solucionar esse problema é a América Latina, sendo a Cidade do México um dos casos mais importantes. A capital mexicana é uma das cidades mais populosas do mundo, atualmente com grandes níveis de disparidades culturais, econômicas e sociais. Para resolver isso, planejadores urbanos, desenvolvedores de computadores e especialistas sociais desenvolveram uma solução conhecida como "cidades inteligentes". Esse conceito opera através da combinação de tecnologia inteligente, planejamento urbano e colaboração do cidadão. No entanto, isso requer um novo modelo de governança que permita que a interação entre as partes seja não apenas eficiente, mas também segura e compatível com a lei. No artigo atual, esse cenário será apresentado a partir da perspectiva do projeto em andamento na Cidade do México, seu modelo de cidade inteligente, sua sociedade e a adequação de sua estrutura legal e a capacidade de seus cidadãos para adotá-lo adequadamente.Referências
